The TK2HOSTM is the mahogany finish version of the Teknix 70cm food serving trolley, equipment for holding food at serving temperature rather than for cooking it. Three warming dishes sit beneath a sliding lid, with cupboard storage below.
Choosing the wood finish is usually about where the trolley lives. A stainless unit reads as kitchen equipment, whereas a mahogany one sits in a dining room or function space without looking out of place alongside furniture. The function is identical either way.
Three heated sections run at 95W for the upper level, 130W for the middle and 190W for the bottom, holding plated food, vegetables and sauces at temperature while the rest of the meal is finished. The sliding lid moves back rather than lifting clear, so there is no hot lid to find a home for mid-service and the dishes stay accessible from standing height.
Below the warming section, cupboard doors enclose two shelves, enough for plates, serving spoons and the spare crockery that otherwise means another trip to the kitchen. Three warming dishes are supplied with the unit. The trolley measures 72.0 x 45.0 x 68.0cm and weighs 34.0kg net, arriving with a 3-pin UK plug fitted and a two-year warranty on registration.
