Description
Hospitality venues, care settings and households that serve a full table at once are the use case for the TK2HOSTIX. It is a 70cm food serving trolley rather than a cooking appliance: three warming dishes sit under a sliding lid and hold food at serving temperature until it is needed.
Separating holding from cooking is the whole idea. Food is cooked in the kitchen, transferred to the dishes and held while the rest of the meal comes together, so the first course is not going cold while the main is finished. The three heated sections are rated at 95W for the upper level, 130W for the middle and 190W for the bottom, matching the output to how much is usually held at each level.
The sliding lid is the detail that makes it workable in a dining room. It moves back rather than lifting off, so there is nowhere to put a hot lid down and nothing to carry while serving. Beneath, cupboard doors and two internal shelves take plates, serving tools and anything else that would otherwise mean a trip back to the kitchen.
Construction is stainless steel, measuring 72.0 x 45.0 x 68.0cm and weighing 34.0kg net. Three warming dishes and a 3-pin UK plug are supplied, and the unit carries a two-year warranty with registration.
