Description
Induction suits anyone who wants gas-like responsiveness without a gas supply, and the BITK260IHSPL is a 60cm four-zone hob built around that. Two 2100W zones and two 1500W zones are controlled by touch sliders across nine power levels, drawing between 2800W and 7200W depending on how many zones are in use.
Because the heat is generated in the pan rather than under it, changes take effect immediately. A zone dropped from nine to two stops boiling almost at once, rather than coasting on stored heat. The slider makes that usable in practice, since one movement covers the full range instead of tapping through levels while a pan boils over.
The glass stays cool except where the pan sits, so spilt food does not bake on and the surface wipes clean. Residual heat indicators flag any zone warmed by the pan above it, and automatic safety switch off removes power if the hob is left running or a control is covered.
A 1m cord is supplied and the specification lists plug-in connection, though the 7200W maximum is worth checking against the available circuit before installation. The cutout is 56.0 x 49.0cm and the hob measures 59.0 x 52.0 x 5.5cm at 8.0kg net. Ferrous pans are needed, as with any induction hob, and a magnet on the base is the quick test.
