Description
Seven kilos is the right capacity for one or two people, and the TK2W714HW is unusually slim with it at 46.5cm deep. That matters in a galley kitchen or a flat where the standard run is already tight and a full-depth machine would stand proud of the units. It spins at 1400rpm and carries an A energy rating.
Steam is the feature that earns its keep here. Introduced during the wash, it helps loosen soiling and relax fibres, which lifts hygiene on bedding and towels and leaves shirts noticeably easier to iron. The 15 minute quick wash is the other setting you will reach for constantly, refreshing a small load of lightly worn clothes without committing to a full cycle.
An inverter motor drives the drum with fewer moving parts to wear out, which is why it attracts a longer service life than a brushed motor. Fifteen programmes cover cottons, synthetics, delicates and an eco wash that uses less energy across a longer cycle. The LED display shows the time remaining and a child lock keeps the settings safe from small hands.
The spin is the loud part at 76dB, so it is not the machine to run overnight in an open-plan flat. Dimensions are 59.5cm wide, 46.5cm deep and 84.5cm high, with a net weight of 58kg. It is supplied with a fitted 3-pin UK plug for a standard 220-240V supply.
