Description
An 8kg drum is the volume most households of three or four settle on, taking a week of mixed clothing or a double duvet set in one go. The TK2W814HS does that at 1400rpm with an A energy rating, finished in titanium for kitchens built around darker cabinetry and stainless steel.
The steam function is the one to explain to customers. Steam introduced during the cycle penetrates fabric more readily than water alone, helping shift soiling at lower temperatures and relaxing creases so shirts and bedding come out easier to handle. Combined with the 1400rpm spin, which drives out more residual water, you spend less time and energy at the drying stage afterwards.
A 15 minute quick wash deals with lightly worn clothes that only need freshening, and the eco wash does the opposite job, extending the cycle at a lower temperature to reduce consumption on everyday loads. Fifteen programmes in total, an inverter motor for durability and quieter running at lower speeds, an LED display for time remaining and a child lock across the controls.
Dimensions are 59.5cm wide, 54cm deep and 84.5cm high, which fits a standard 600mm appliance gap with room behind for hoses. Net weight is 58kg and noise reaches 74dB on the spin. The machine runs on a 220-240V supply and is supplied with a fitted 3-pin UK plug.
