Description
The TKED64INDX is the stainless steel version of Teknix’s 60cm induction double oven cooker, and the top specification in the freestanding range. It suits kitchens already fitted with stainless appliances where a matching finish matters as much as the cooking performance.
The induction hob is what buyers are paying for. Four zones are rated 1200-1500W, 1200-1500W, 1800-2100W and 2300-3000W, each with a booster setting, and the most powerful of them will heat a large pan far quicker than a radiant ceramic zone. Heat is produced in the pan itself, so adjustment is instant and the glass around the pan stays cooler, which reduces the amount of spilled food that bakes on.
Below the hob are two cavities: a 68L main oven and a 31L upper compartment that handles grilling and smaller dishes. Using the smaller cavity for weekday cooking avoids heating the full main oven, and the two can run at different temperatures when a larger meal needs it. Five cooking functions are offered across the pair.
Both ovens are lined in easy-clean enamel and the door glass can be removed for cleaning. A grill pan and two chrome wire shelves are supplied. The cooker measures 59.5cm wide, 60.0cm deep and 90.0cm high, net weight is 47.6kg, the published energy rating is A, and the warranty runs for two years with registration.
