Description
The TKCGH29B is the 90cm version of the curved glass hood, intended for wider hobs and for kitchens where a 60cm extractor would look under-scaled against a large cooking area. The black glass visor runs the full width, with three speeds, LED lighting and an A energy rating.
Specifying the hood to match the hob is the main reason to step up to 90cm. Pans on the outer burners of a wide hob sit beyond the capture area of a narrower canopy, so steam and frying smells escape sideways rather than being drawn up and out. The extra width keeps the whole cooking surface covered.
The curved glass front helps guide rising vapour back into the filter rather than letting it spill forward, and it gives a flat, easily wiped surface at the front of the unit. Push button controls are used in place of a touch panel; they respond reliably when hands are wet or greasy and give a definite indication that the speed has changed. The quoted maximum noise level is 61dB at the top setting.
Ducted and recirculating installation are both supported, so the hood can be fitted where there is no straightforward route to an outside wall. Physical dimensions are 90.0cm wide by 47.0cm deep, with height adjusting between 50.3cm and 84.8cm. Net weight is 12.0kg, supply is 220-240V, 50-60Hz, and warranty cover runs to two years with registration.
